{"id":302,"date":"2004-05-12T11:54:06","date_gmt":"2004-05-12T10:54:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/simkin.org\/wordpress\/?p=302"},"modified":"2004-05-12T11:54:06","modified_gmt":"2004-05-12T10:54:06","slug":"faq1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/simkin.org\/wordpress\/?p=302","title":{"rendered":"How did you build this site ?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This site started life as a project in HTML, evolved into ASP on a Windows NT server sitting under the stairs and was then ported onto an X-Box running <a href=\"http:\/\/gentoox.shallax.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Gentoox\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gentoox<\/a> .&nbsp; The trouble was the X-Box doesn&#39;t survive for very long as a server and I managed to kill both it and the backup box within about 6 months.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;A dash to the boot fair got me &quot;pixie&quot; which is an old Dell desktop running Windows XP.
