I recently had a disk partition turn RAW. Windows would boot and then hang. Connecting the hard drive to a different system showed the main partition was now marked RAW and unreadable. Installing and running TestDisk soon had the partition readable and I was able to recover my files. Download it now so you have it handy when you need it.
