Daniel’s operation went very well yesterday. He was happy to go into hospital and
was smiling right up to going under the anaesthetic. Once he came round he just
wanted to go home. But after much bribing, he agreed to stay overnight. Daddy
stayed with him and he slept right through the night. This morning, the nurse
announced he could go home when he liked. Dan started putting his shoes on.
All the staff at Brentwood Nuffield Hospital were superb and his surgeon,
Mr Choudhray was explained everything and ensured Daniel was happy after it
all. We have already noticed Daniel’s speech improving but he is a bit croaky
and his throat is sore.
Now Daniel has to stay home, away from other children for two weeks.
Getting William to and from school is going to be fun for the next fortnight.
