Prefer to backup your iphone to itunes but are fed-up with itunes not finding your phone, even though Windows can?
The latest iterations of itunes are available from the Microsoft store but even these don’t play nicely with Windows 11. The main culprit is an update to itunes since 12.10.11.2 and the embedded Apple Device drivers. I’ve tried a few combinations and found you can get an inconsistent experience and a lot of frustration with something that should just work.
So, let’s look for third-party solutions.
One great fix is to use the CopyTrans drivers. By installing the CopyTrans Manager (I’m using version 1.301) and the older iTunes version, connection, recognition and backup works every time.
